Course Description
The global trend of exchange of goods, services and people demands competent people who know how to function in different contexts and work, academic and cultural scenarios in the world. Latin America and the Caribbean have an important challenge to level and integrate man, knowledge and limited knowledge largely due to low levels of proficiency in a second language, in an environment of global competitiveness. According to the International Agency EF, in 2016 Colombia ranked 49th among 72 countries evaluated in second language proficiency, which means the efforts emanating from the Ministry of National Education to make Colombia the Most Educated by 2025 and Colombia Bilingual by 20205 did not have been enough to make the country more competitive in education.

Course Objectives

  • Know and analyze the new scenarios of academic, scientific and sociocultural participation in which the French language is a participant as a communication tool.
  • Promote an international culture in the university focused on the development of multilingualism in the university community.
