REFLECTIONS FOR HOLY WEEK

“But he said to them: Do not be afraid; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, the one who was crucified; He has risen, he is not here; see the place where they laid him.”

Mark 16:6

Holy Week for Christians is a time of love, forgiveness and reflection. Time to give thanks for what we have experienced and for what lies ahead, to ask for the health and well-being of those we love.

✝ Easter for many is simply the death of a great man. Those of us who believe in Jesus, in addition to remembering his death, especially celebrate the meaning of his resurrection for our lives.

✝ Easter is a time for reflection, to value what really matters, to be thankful for what we are and what we have.
✝ Easter is a time to thank God for us and our family. Also to set new goals, new dreams and pray that God gives us the wisdom and courage to achieve them.

✝ Holy Week is a time to share and be generous, but, above all, it is a time to thank the great love of God in Christ Jesus, who gave his life for ours, and to show with love and affection that he did not die. in vain.

✝ Easter is hope. When the fog of uncertainty tries to hide tomorrow from us, faith in God and in the redemptive work of the cross enlightens us and points the way forward.

 CALL TO MATURITY

Maturity is not something that necessarily comes hand in hand with age, achievements and studies, as there are many people who have all of this, but are immature.

God's desire is that we can mature physically, spiritually, and mentally. The Bible teaches that our character reveals the maturity in our lives.

5 characteristics of a mature person:

They react positively: Even in adverse scenarios, they are not overcome by fear, they do not panic. In James 1:2 it says "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet with various trials." The immature explode and throw in the towel.

They do not discriminate against others: A mature person makes no distinction between people. In James 2:1 it says "My brethren, may your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ be without respect of persons." A mature person respects the differences that he may have with others. Discrimination only shows weakness of character.

Responsibility: Mature people do not look for a "scapegoat". In James 1:13 it says that "When anyone is tempted, let him not say that he is tempted by God." Blaming others for my misfortune is immaturity. Therefore I must look in the mirror to find the culprit.

Prudence: The mark of a mature person is a person who knows how to tame his tongue. In Proverbs 15:2 it says “The tongue of the wise imparts knowledge; when fools talk, they only talk nonsense. A mature person knows when to speak and knows when to cover his mouth so as not to screw up.

Do not judge others: God says when we judge we cause conflict. People who judge are immature. In Matthew 7:1-2 it says “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Well, they will be treated the same way they treat others.” The immature always looks for the speck in another's eye and does not see the beam in his own eye.

It is possible to appear to be mature or perhaps have the title of Doctor, Architect, Lawyer and still be an immature person. The true mark of a mature person is the one that reflects the character of God in their daily life.

God is interested in us becoming people with a mature character and this is a process that requires submission to Him. The result of this process is that we will become more like Him.

Let's pray: Lord Jesus, I come before you to ask your forgiveness for my immaturity. I recognize that I have to mature in my way of speaking, thinking, taking responsibility, and being sensitive to others. Please intervene in my life and change me, I wish to reflect your image.

COMFORT IN THE MIDDLE OF CRISIS

How can I tell someone who just lost their job or is sick in bed to be happy? Many turn to pills, medical specialists, and other inventions, but only these following indications will bring true comfort.

Fill your mind with the word of God. Psalm 119:52 says "My God, I never forget your eternal word, for it gives me comfort." There are over 7,000 promises in the Bible for us. These promises are for your life, if God promises something, He fulfills. In Numbers 23:19 it says “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. He said, and will not? He spoke, and will you not execute him?"

Allow other people to comfort you: We were not created to live in isolation, but we were created to support and help each other. There is no reason for you to stay in your room crying and suffering alone. That is not God's plan for your life! In 2 Corinthians 1:4 it says "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others."

Allow the Holy Spirit to bring comfort: If you are in pain and suffering, remember that God wants to comfort you through his Holy Spirit. In John 14:26 it says "But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, will come and help you, because the Father will send him to take my place."
Do not forget that God is with you, no matter how much you have suffered, how much you have cried. God is with you! Psalms 34:18 says "The Lord is near, to help those whose hearts are broken and have lost all hope."

Let us pray: Lord Jesus today I come before you to thank you for giving me so many promises of comfort through your word. Today I want to place all my pain and suffering in your hands, with the confidence that only you can heal me and bring joy to my life.

 REFLECTIONS ON LOVE
Bible Reading: 1st Corinthians 13

Have you ever wondered what love is? Is a feeling? Is it an emotion for romantics and poets? It's a choice?

Love is much more than a feeling. Love is action and motivation. Love is a decision you make. Love is a choice you make. You choose to love. You decide to do it regardless of what others do or don't do.

Love is patient and kind. Love does good, heals, blesses.

love is loyal It does not betray or defraud. He is not unfaithful. He is not an adulterer. It doesn't go from "tranza to tranza". He doesn't say "I love you" to everyone or everyone.

Love believes in someone and expects the best from others. Do you believe in the person you love, or in your friends? Do you expect the best from her?

Love defends. When everyone criticizes, he speaks well. When everyone shoots to kill, he protects and cares.

Love is not jealous. Don't be suspicious. He is not insecure or afraid. Acknowledge with joy the achievements of others.

Love is not proud. Keeps the profile low. You don't treat your girlfriend or boyfriend like a trophy to show off in front of your friends.

Love does nothing wrong. He doesn't mock, he doesn't belittle, he doesn't abuse, he doesn't grope, he doesn't mistreat, he doesn't cheat.

Love does not seek its own. It is not selfish. He doesn't think only of himself. He will never say “if you love me, sleep with me”, or “I can't wait to make love to you”.

Love never stops being. If you make an effort, you will always find reasons to love and reasons to express it.

Love is all this and much more. The highest definition is this: God is love (1 John 4:8). He loves us because his nature, his essence, is to love us. And nothing we can do can change his love for us! That is unconditional love! No human being is capable of loving like this, but God has put His love in us to help us love as he loves.

If you want to know if you really love, or if they love you? Do not compare yourself with your friends, do not compare yourself with anyone, compare your feelings and decisions with what the Bible says about true love. True love waits and is worth waiting for.

 HOW TO GET UP
By Arnold Enns

“But I have prayed for you, that your faith does not fail; so that when you repent and return to me, you strengthen your brothers” Luke 22:32

We have all failed at some point in our lives. It is not a question of if we will fail but when and how many times. The problem is not the failure but what we do immediately afterwards in reaction to that situation.

Our response to misfortune is what will set the tone for our lives. The sooner you get up, the sooner you'll be back on the road to success. If you have experienced failure in your life or ministry, here are some steps to start anew.

Accept responsibility for your own failure: If you've made a mistake, admit it! Welcome to the human race and don't blame others. Pedro had failed and had to face his problem and then get up. Taking responsibility frees you from a defensive posture and gives you the clear vision needed to determine what went wrong. In Proverbs 18:13 it says “He who hides his sin can never prosper; whoever confesses it and leaves it, receives forgiveness.”

Discover the benefits of failure: Jonas Salk discovered the polio vaccine after numerous attempts and was asked by reporters how he felt after failing multiple times. To this Jonas replied “I have never failed, I have only discovered various ways of not vaccinating against polio. Failure forces you to be more creative; look for new ways of doing things. In Proverbs 20:30 it says "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways."

Forget the past and focus on the future: Your past is past, what happened… happened! You cannot change the situation, therefore, you must stop worrying about it. Paul put it this way in Philippians 3:13-14 “One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind, and reaching out for what is ahead, I press on toward the goal.” We serve a God of second chances. Failure never spells the END, unless you let it be!

Let us pray: Lord Jesus, today I come to recognize that I have failed through my own fault. I admit my past mistakes. Forgive me and help me get out of this situation. I thank you for giving me a second chance and help me to get ahead.

THE LORD COMFORT AND CALM OUR EMOTIONS

“He said to him, Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and mighty wind rent the mountains, and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord; but God was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake; but God was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire; but God was not in the fire. And after the fire a still small voice. And when Elijah heard it, he covered his face with his cloak, and went out and stood at the door of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him, saying, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" 1 Kings 19:11-13

Elijah has just faced and defeated 450 prophets of Baal, however, he allows circumstances to affect him and believes that all is lost, he believes that the evil of the people will not allow the cause of God to triumph and he is hidden in the cave before the Jezebel's death threat. God commands him to come out of the cave and stand before him on the mountain, in the place of revelation, asking him to continue his ministry. God is dealing right now with Elijah who is tired and worn out from all the work he has done. His ministry was difficult, since he had to defend the faith in God in the midst of an unbelieving people who were following pagan gods. The Lord knows that he needs psychological help because he is under a lot of stress and fear consumes him, because his life was in danger.

Perhaps because of his character and personality, Elijah expected a noisy and violent manifestation from God to understand that he was with him in those moments of anguish, but God was neither in the hurricane wind, nor in the earthquake, nor in the fire , God was in a soft and delicate sound. That's the kind of voice the Lord wants us to hear in times of trouble, the still small voice of his Spirit that comforts and calms our emotions. It is the still small voice of Christ when he says in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." It is the pleasant sound that provides us with a deep and inexplicable tranquility.

The gospel is the soft voice of love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, justice and salvation, there we find the comfort and restoration that our soul needs.

Today we can ask ourselves: What are those circumstances that produce greater physical and emotional fatigue? How are they affecting our spiritual life? Or what routine activities confuse us and prevent us from hearing the still small voice of God? When we are weighed down by our burdens, it is not the time to hide, but to go out and present ourselves before the Lord in prayer and to be able to empty our burdened hearts. As Psalm 141:8 says, “Therefore on you, O LORD, my eyes look; In you I have trusted; do not forsake my soul."

We should not fear or worry because at all times we can count on the presence and help of our God. He does not leave us alone, and he is bigger and more powerful than any problem. We must keep our minds, focus on the greatness and power of God and that his victorious hand sustains us at all times.

Remember that our security is in God.

THE WANTS OF LIFE

“Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done." Philippians 4:6

A study of worries in life shows that the 40% of our worries never happen. The 20% are because of what other people will say or think of me. Only 8% of our concerns are for really valid things. I want to share with you four simple and profound truths on how to change this situation.

Do not you worry about anything: Easier said than done. However, worrying is assuming something that God never wanted me to assume, and on top of that it robs us of joy. Matthew 6:34 says "Don't worry about what will happen tomorrow." So the first step is to let go of what I can't fix.

pray for everything: Philippians 4:6 “Pray for everything”. When we pray we tell God all the details of our needs. Some people say they don't have time to pray, but they have all the time in the world to worry.

control your thoughts: Stress and worries are not on the outside, they are inside you. It depends on how you act in the face of life's difficulties. Having Joy in life is thinking about the positive things, which are correct. Philippians 1.8 tells us to think of everything that is "true and just and good." In other words, not allowing negative thoughts to take precedence in my mind.

Thank God for all things: The passage says “give him thanks for everything”. People who are not grateful, who are constantly complaining, have more physical and emotional problems than people who are grateful. If you want to free yourself from stress in your life, start giving thanks for everything.

Worrying is not healthy. Worrying produces ulcers, headaches, and insomnia. Plants and animals don't care and neither should we.

When you worry you are trying to control something that you shouldn't be trying to control in the first place. Therefore it is useless to worry because this never achieves or solves anything. Worry alone makes us miserable today.

Worry exaggerates your problems, makes problems seem bigger and bigger. That's why every time you worry, put all your worries and anxieties in the hands of God, because He takes care of you.

MAN AS A “BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL-SPIRITUAL” BEING

Sometimes we omit a sphere of man as important as the spiritual sphere, and what better time to do it than now.

A couple of weeks ago when the quarantine began, in the news they advised the Colombian community in general to look for spiritual leaders, precisely because it is understood that spiritual help is important in times like these where some are bordering their limits in every sense of the word.

In this time of pandemic there are many ways to exercise that natural instinct that produces an interest in the spiritual. But it is not true that all paths lead to God…. All roads took you to Rome at that time where there were few roads, but not today.

Some paths may seem good to you, but they will not produce in you the change, the transformation, the fullness that a person who has encountered God experiences. There is only one true way and it is called Jesus Christ. You can meet Jesus in different ways, and the truth is that no one met Jesus and remained the same.

Difficult times are coming, unless we are favored with a different outcome than other countries, and it is a good time for us to desperately seek an exchange of glances with Jesus. Let's not miss the moment and the opportunity to experience a transformation in our lives. Let us not be satisfied with what we have known until now, we can connect with Jesus and be supplied with power from Heaven to get through this time of uncertainty.

One day Jesus was meeting with 2 women, one of them was busy attending to a lot of matters at the time, the other, upon receiving a visit from Jesus, sat down to listen to him, the first one seeing this scene got upset and expressed it: How is it possible that Mary is doing nothing, simply at the feet of Jesus? Marta was outraged, because just like what happens to us today; there is always a lot to do, you always have to be producing, fulfilling, working… it seems that being tormented with many responsibilities is the right thing to do and even the goal for many….

However, Jesus tells that tired and troubled Martha: “Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken away from her.”

Take time these days to work on your spiritual life, take a break from your many activities and dedicate yourself to the contemplation of Jesus through prayer and Bible study. Attend to your spiritual need in the same way as you do for other areas of your life. Even if you have a lot of the rest, none of that is enough in a moment of crisis, illness or extreme need, but if you have a strong spiritual life, you will be able to experience the inexhaustible resource of heaven, the hand of the Lord that sustains you and guides you. shows the way.

PROMISES OF GOD

“God is not a man, therefore he does not lie. He's not human, so he doesn't change his mind. Have you ever made a promise without keeping it? Numbers 23:19

By some estimates, there are about 5,000 promises from God in the Bible. Our God is a God who makes promises and when he does, he keeps them. God made promises to all the major leaders in the Bible, such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Daniel, and Paul.

Here are some of the important promises of God.

I will not be alone: When we find ourselves facing various adversities we must remember what Isaiah 43:2 says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and if by the rivers, they will not drown you.” This gives me security and confidence that I am not alone.

I Will Live Long: Proverbs 3:2-3 says, “Never let loyalty and kindness desert you! If you do so, you will live many years, and your life will give you satisfaction. There is a direct correlation in living a life of respect towards others and the promise of living many years with satisfaction, for there will be peace everywhere.

I Will Reap Blessing: Galatians 6:9 says “So let us not tire of doing good. In due time, we will reap many blessings if we do not give up.” This promise assures us that if we work diligently and don't give up, God promises blessings for my life.

I will have Rest and Peace: This is what we least find in the modern world in which we live and that is why Jesus emphasized this promise in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all who are tired and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest".

I will have life after death: Possibly one of the most powerful promises is that there is life after death because Jesus says in John 14.2-3 “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and I will take you to myself, so that where I am, you may also be”.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus today I come before you grateful for your promises. Today I decide to base my life on the eternal promises of your word. Forgive me for focusing on myself and not on Your word and promises.

THE GENEROSITY AND PROVISION OF GOD

“Jesus answered and said, Truly I say to you, there is not one who has left [everything], who does not receive a hundred times as much” Mark 10:29-30

God says, "I'm going to give you back a hundredfold and meet all your needs." So why do people have needs? Many believers have needs.
With every promise of God there is a premise, a condition, and God says, "If you do this, I will do that." These are some of the conditions.

I must be generous with others. When you are generous with others, God will be generous with you. In Proverbs 11:25 it says "The generous soul will prosper." jesus it
He said this way in Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you." The premise of this promise is that we must first be generous with others.

Giving is a pleasing sacrifice to God. The nicest thing you can do for God is to give sacrificially. In Philippians 4:18 Paul says "What you sent was a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God." When you are more like Christ you become more generous and this pleases God.

The closest thing to Christ you can do is give. Because Jesus was a giver. He was sacrificed on the cross of Calvary to give us the promise of eternal life.

This is a special time to exercise generosity and solidarity towards those in need. We cannot be indifferent to those who need a word of
encouragement, affection, or to whom you need food and provision.

Let us pray: Lord I come before you on this day and I thank you for all the riches and blessings you have already given to my life. I beg you to teach me to be content, to be generous with others, to be honest and to trust in you for all things. Amen.

REFLECTIONS ON FAMILY LIFE

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may enjoy a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12 | NIV

I beg you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all live in harmony and that there be no divisions among you, but that you remain united in the same thinking and in the same purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:10 | NIV

As well as these, we find in the Bible many verses that teach about family life and the principles to maintain peace within our homes.

The available knowledge that exists in relation to the family is vast. However, the principles of the Bible are not only still relevant to the times in which we live, but have proven to be highly efficient and competitive in that regard.

Although sometimes the reality at home is somewhat conflictive, it is necessary that with patience and love we can make an effort and do our part to alleviate tensions in our family.

This time of isolation can be the opportunity for reunion, healing and restoration. When there is conflict in a home, although the most frequent thing is to walk away, in reality what the Lord motivates us to do is spend more time sharing the love and forgiveness that we have received from God. The atmosphere of our house will change if we allow the Spirit of God to enter!

Every family has its struggles and adversities, but beyond everything that happens, the Lord wants to be in your house. Jesus is bigger than any problem!

Let's pray: Eternal Father: Bless my house, my family with your love and your presence, that I may be an instrument of your peace in the midst of my home, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mother's Day Reflection

Valuable lessons can be learned from the women who appear in the Bible. These are some of them:

  1. Eve:

The story of how Eve disobeyed God and urged Adam to do the same is well known; and although her bad behavior is an example not to do the same, there is another lesson that we can learn from her. Although the Bible does not detail it in Genesis 3:1-7, her idleness and loneliness were propitious for the serpent to approach her. This should motivate us not to be isolated, on the contrary, we should pray, get together with other people and practice some activity that keeps our minds busy.

  1. Sarah:

Sara was already old when God promised her that she would have a son (Genesis 18); His reaction was, perhaps, the one that many of us would have had: doubt. And she not only doubted her ability to procreate, but also that of her husband. She thought, "Am I going to have this pleasure, now that I'm already spent and my husband is so old?" Regardless of Sarah's attitude, God fulfilled his promise at "the time announced" (Genesis 21:1-7 NIV). Sara taught us to believe in God's promises, not to let our doubts be greater than our faith, and to be patient while waiting.

  1. Rebeca:

In Genesis 24 we find Rebekah's story of courage and faith. She ventured to go to a far away place to meet her future husband. His example of trust in God is worth imitating; however, she later made the mistake of giving preference to one of her sons and taking matters into her own hands. (Genesis 27). Rebeca left us the valuable teaching of putting our faith in God and not letting circumstances make us change or act rashly.

  1. Jochebed:

Jochebed was the mother of Moses. Her motherly love and creativity not only saved her son's life (Exodus 2), but also helped deliver Israel from slavery in Egypt. God used Moses to set his people free, thus allowing Jochebed to save her son and have the opportunity to raise him. She is an example of how a mother's instruction has a great impact on the life of her child.

  1. Ana:

Ana was the kind of mother who understands that children are not hers but God's. He granted her the gift of being a mother even when she was barren. Once she had her first child, she did not hesitate to give him to God and fulfill the promise he had made to her. Hannah's prayer and faith are an example for all of us to follow (1 Samuel 1).

FAITH AND SUCCESS

“I do not claim to have already achieved it; but one thing I do: certainly forgetting what is behind, and extending myself to what is ahead” Philippians 3:13

Today we can find many books on success, but it is very important to have good references, someone who has had personal experience. We learn much more from a person who experienced it firsthand than from any manual or book. The apostle Paul a successful man gives us four keys.

Self appraisal: I must evaluate myself and admit that I am not a superhuman. Paul says in Philippians 3:12 "Not that I have already obtained it, nor that I am already perfect." The point is that successful people never stop growing. They are always challenging themselves, growing, learning something new.

overcome the past: I must stop being manipulated by my memories. Paul says in Philippians 3:13 "But one thing I do: surely forgetting what is behind." Success implies learning to forget. My past is past. I let go of my guilt, sorrow, and grudges. I let go of the past so I can move on to the present.

Focus on the future: Successful people are goal oriented. They focus on the future. Paul says in Philippians 3:13 "I reach out to what is before." Many people spread out, do 1,000 things and none of them do it well. As the popular proverb says "He who covers a lot... squeezes little".

have determination: "Absolutely nothing worthwhile in life happens without effort." Paul says in Philippians 3:14, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” The great people in life are ordinary people with an extraordinary amount of determination not to give up until the end.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus today I come before you and I beg you to help me set my sights on you to extend myself towards the future and the purpose that you have prepared for me.

THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION

“The angel said to the women: —Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just as he said. Come see the place where they put him.” Matthew 28:5-6 | NIV |

Every year when Christendom celebrates Easter, we notice, more and more strongly, the reduction of the status of Jesus to that of a historical figure and not that of a God who is alive. The church has become accustomed to living without His power, ignoring His purpose. The big question would be: What does the resurrection of the Lord mean for human beings?

The death of Jesus is a historical fact that certainly happened. But many people are left with that knowledge, not realizing that the power He carried is available to believers today.

What is resurrection power?

By His resurrection we have access to the power of God. Where there is no revelation of the resurrection, people will continue to speak of a historical Jesus. The resurrection empowers us. He said that in his name we would pray for the sick and they would heal, that he would give us life, and life in abundance. The Lord calls us to surround ourselves with the power of the resurrection and this is only possible when we decide to seek him from the heart and have a relationship with God.

What does the resurrection of Jesus show us?

  • The resurrection proves the credibility of Jesus. Without the resurrection, Jesus would have the same status as any philosopher, religious leader, or prophet.
  • His resurrection proved that death is defeated. Why is he afraid of death? Jesus already defeated death. All fear comes from the fear of death. Fear paralyzes the gifts God gave you. It paralyzes you and stops you from achieving your purpose.
  • His resurrection testifies to the overthrow of the previous kingdom (the kingdom of evil, of darkness).

Many believers are trapped in the “grave”, wrapped up in their unforgiveness, their burdens, their financial problems, etc. The Lord wants to manifest in us the power of His resurrection, to resurrect our dreams, our homes, our finances, our broken relationships. Then God's love, forgiveness, prosperity and peace will return to our lives.

“Then Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even if he dies; and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 | NIV |

REFLECTIONS FOR HOLY WEEK.

Holy Week is a special time for recollection, reflection, reading, learning and sharing with others.

It is a time to thank God for the gift of life and for what we have left to live. To strengthen our spiritual life, our prayer time and ask for the health and well-being of our loved ones.

For many, this is a time when the death of a historic leader is remembered. For those of us who believe in Jesus of Nazareth, it is to remember his life, his death and teachings, and especially the meaning of his Resurrection. Giving thanks for the great love of God in Christ Jesus, who gave his life for us, who preferred to remain silent and endure rejection, humiliation, whipping, and ridicule, and
He did this for you and me, so that one day, no matter what we have done, no matter what has happened, we will fix our eyes on Him and ask Him to come into our hearts. And so, allow Him to take control of our life, let Him guide every step of the way, let Him be the Captain of our ship. It's never too late!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 It wasn't the nails that held Jesus on the cross, it was LOVE... Love for you, for me.
Holy Week is a time to demonstrate with the evidence of our actions that He did not die in vain.

THE CRISIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

This time, as hard and tragic as it may seem to us, can be an opportunity to wake up and start looking at everything from the right perspective. Difficulties and crises have turned out to be propitious for reflection and great transformations. Following this thought, we invite you to think of what we are experiencing as a call for a paradigm shift in society, to return to the roots of humanity, to the spiritual source.

That is why it is necessary to make a stop along the way and stop to reflect, to reset ourselves, yes, to restart ourselves.

Those of us who profess the Christian faith turn our gaze to the Gospels, to the charge of fraternal love, setting our sights on the incorruptible. We return to prayer, to the time of intimacy with the heavenly Father, strengthening our spiritual being.

This Christian spirituality consists of living according to the commandment of Jesus, living to love and serve others, with the certainty of faith in a God who is sovereign and cares for us. So then, there is no opportunity to flee into comfort zones, or take a leap into the stratosphere; neither to make us in a corner full of fear or anguish, in a vertiginous jump to depression.

We share the following TIPS for spiritual growth:

  1. Psalms reading (Psalm 23, Psalm 46, Psalm 91, Psalm 121)
  2. Reading of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)
  3. personal prayer
  4. Listen to music of praise and worship to God
  5. Strengthen family ties (It's time for forgiveness and reconciliation)
